Membership is offered by invitation to:

Voting Members: Members are to be selected from persons in the broadcasting industry and allied fields including satellite, cable and other broadband industries.  Members will have held at least two years of service in technical departments. Membership shall be restricted to two (2) persons from any identifiable division of a corporation or organization and limited to a total of (3) persons from a corporation or organization. Members shall have no union affiliation.

Associate Members: Associates are to be selected from persons in the broadcasting industry and allied fields including satellite, cable and other broadband industries, and engineers and sales engineers from manufacturers, representatives, distributors and dealers to the broadcast and broadband industry.  Associates will have held at least two years of service in technical departments. Associate memberships shall be restricted to three persons from a corporation or organization which already has filled its quota of active members in the Association. Associates shall have no union affiliation. Associates shall have no voting privileges in the Association.

Member Emeritus: Member Emeritus are to be selected from any former active member or Associate in the Association at the time of the individuals’ retirement from active work in the Broadcasting Industry. Election to this category shall be by two-thirds vote of the membership.

Though not outlined in the bylaws, by tradition WEBE has asked prospective members to attend at least two regular meetings to demonstrate their interest in actively participating in the organization. The Association then votes to extend an invitation of membership, which is done at a third meeting.

Dues:
